他会陪我上学去. 清晨,
First day in school.
This is it. The very first day, he will be alone with his teacher and fellow friends. I was so excited. In fact, we were excited. We took him to his kindergarten last Sat to pay his enrollment fee. He was excited. The very next day, Sunday again, we walk him to his kindy. He was energetics! He jumped out of his bed the minute he woke up and said, “Today, we cycle to school.”
Indeed we did, the kindergarten is just two erm… section apart. We walk him through the garden. Time our watch to check the distance and time. We finally arrived 45minutes later. Whole body sweat and exhausted. HAHA! Had to blame the hot morning sun and the steep walk.
05-01-2009 Mark his first day in school. Lun didn’t cry a bit. He is a brave big boy. Mummy and daddy are proud of you!
My son can’t stop asking.
Children is like a clock. When the time comes they react accordingly. So, what stage are yours in?
Lun is currently the chatter box. He would constantly asking you why, what, how.
Like a broken radio who repeatedly singing the same song over and over again.
He would go.
Lun: 妈咪,你今天做什么? (Mum, what did you do today?)
Me: 早上,上班.对着电脑做工. (working in front of the computer.)
He will pause for a while, then come back again asking the same question.
Lun: 妈咪,你今天早上做什么? (Mum, what did you do today?)
Me: 做工咯.(Working.)
Again, asking the same question after a short pause.
Lun: 妈咪,你今天做什么? (Mum, what did you do today?)
Me: 早上,做工; 晚上回来陪你玩， (Work in the morning, came back at night to play with you.)
你呢？你今天做了什么?(How about you? What did you do today?)
Lun:我做fireman.搭屋子．hmm…(I was a fireman, i’ve build a house.)
Me:傍晚呢？有到公园去吗？(How about evening? Did you go to the park?)
Lun:有，啊公带我去公园做工．我是Construction worker. ( yes, grandpa bring me there, I work as a construction worker.)
Lun: 妈咪,你今天做什么? (Mum, what did you do today?)
…
…
…
until he got fed up himself. Then pass on to the next question.
What is that? pointing to the ceiling or other stuff etc….
Problem teaching words that sound the same?
The other day, we were learning Bob the builder -Can we fix it song. We encounter a tiny problem.

Do you make the same mistake too?
This morning while I was coming down the stairs. I heard these conversation.
姨婆: 伦,爸爸去做工, 不可以和你玩. 赚多多钱买玩具给你.
Aunt: Lun, your father is going to work. He will earn lots of money to buy you toys.
伦: 爸爸做工! ( 指示爸爸去做工)
Lun: Father working! ( pointed to the door, ask my husband to go to work.)
Well, you might find nothing wrong with these teaching. BUT…Last night, while we played, my son took out my money from my mobile cover. I asked him, whose money is this? He told me that was his. And, last Friday, my colleague told me his nephew told him, father, aunt and grandpa, went out to work because they have to buy toys for him. Therefore, it’s their duty to buy toys for him.
I got a shock! I quickly interfere their conversation.
我: 不可以. 不可以. 爸爸赚钱不是买玩具给伦玩. 不可以这么教. 赚的钱,不是给儿子而已.
me: No! no. Those money is not to buy toys. Can’t teach him this way. The money is not his.
姨婆: 那, 买奶粉,可以吧…
Aunt: Well, how about to buy milk powder for him?
我: 也不好…..该说养家.! ( 但… 这又太深奥了….哎~~)
Me: No, not that too. We should tell him these money is to raise a family.
Teaching children in adult way. Arn’t you too?
Dear ( all those who are reading this post),
Excuse me for writing too much. I had this question in my mind for quite a long time. Teaching children in adult way. Aren’t you too?
Children no matter at what age. They are intelligent with their own mind.
I had once tried to teach my son to use brushes, the adult way- use brush to paint. Instead, he use the brush to stir. Stir up my whole jar of color. End up, the drawing paper was as clean as new. But my son was filled with colors and so was the floor and the palette. And that very moment, I realize! Why must we draw only on papers? Palate is a good medium to draw too.
Luckily, I didn’t restrict him. If not, he will not have to chance to explore!
Admited to hospital
Lun is having pneumonia and is currently admited in the hospital for medication.
He will stay for a week or more and so am i.

Sweets for kids?
Not from me!
I was always amazed by those parents that gave their kids a pack of candies. The package might written as sugar free. But I doubt that. Most dangerous stuff. Sugar free? Then, it must contains artificial chemicals. Wasn’t that worst than giving them sugar itself?
Whats more, candies don’t just contain sugar, they have colors! Studies have found that children’s medication is more dangerous than for adults. Reason for COLORS!
Hi level of sugar makes a child active, aggressive. Look around. Did you find where those energy hyperactive child got from? SUGARY FOOD! candies, biscuit, hmm… you name it.
Does my child eats a candy?
Of cos he did. That why i wrote this article! I was too upset, but I can’t do much. His grandpa love to bribe his grandson with candy. When i say no, he’ll gets worst. More candies.
Did you find any different with candy and without candy?
Very obvious if he took it after dinner. He couldn’t sleep early. Easily gets annoyed and active.
Whats your solution?
Tried to give away all those candies. Try to ask grandpa to buy soda biscuit instead. And pray.

I’m busy creating construction vehicle flash cards.
They are for my dearest son~Lun.
Ever since he saw backhoe and dump truck loading dirt at the roadside. He couldn’t get his eyes off any construction vehicles. We have tons of books, range from animals, plants to machinery. He did not have a fix favorite then. He’ll read ( look) at every pages when he likes. Sometimes, he will stick to certain books. His previous favorite was books on father, children on playground, books about our body parts, stories on all sorts of kids at work, animals.
Until one day, we were out for a day trip visiting a few cousins of my. On our second last stop, we had a quick lunch at a coffee shop. Right in front of us, a backhoe loader was loading dirts into the dump truck. It was an opportunity not to miss. Continue… »
