- Activity books - lift-the-flap and zip-zap etc
- Story books that comes with CDs
- Rhyming Text
At this stage, babies are more independent. When i say independent, it means, he wants to do it his own way and you can’t stop him doing until he finished. I had bought him a activity book on Lun’s 5Month. It was a soft cloth book that comes with many games. I had shown him shapes and colors and taught him to pull out the shapes. Taught him to tie shoe lace, buckle up the knot, snap the button, let him feel the different cloth materials and lastly finish of with a long zip to close the book.
This book called ‘My Quiet Book’. It does comes with other sets of cloth books, but i find this the best among the rest.

My Quiet Book was introduced at the right time. He was so interested, he would take it out anytime and try it on his own. ( He crawled for the book.) He had constantly leaving his saliva on the book and tried to ate the shapes. Lucky me, i was alway on his side when he tired, and the shapes were too huge to swallowed.
We continue reading the board books and I’ve added one on animals in Malay language for his collection.
By then, we had stop hiding the set of board books and let him play freely. He was still continue leaving his saliva on them but had reduce bitting them.
Later, when he can sit well, I bought him more books. Some are in normal paper back. As he was taught to love books, he didn’t tear them purposely. He will try to mimic us and flip the pages nicely. Though, one of a gift books from his aunt was torn apart. That was the first and hopefully the last torn book.
It was until i was introduced to an author’s website, I bought Lun first audio book. It was called ‘Up, Up, Down.’ by Robert Munsch. This is not a real audio book, I have downloaded his mp3 audio and bought the book from Kinokuniya bookstore. It cost me roughly RM23.++. The first introduction failed, it turns out to be Lun’s favorite at the later stage. ( I’ll cover this in later post)
At this stage, he would not look at the book. It was neither fun nor interesting with too many words in it.
At his 8Month. I bought another book called ‘Ted and Dolly Submarine Surprise’. This is Lun’s all-time-favorite. He will take out this book whenever i call for reading time, even today. ( I’ll cover this in later post too)
I’ve read somewhere that, imaginative books is the best for toddlers. This book is one if them.
My next’ Walking stage’. Tune in tomorrow.

I heard from a friend, a kid’s behaviour at 2 years old is the essence of his/her personality when the kid grows up. Maybe by observing what your kid does at 2 years old helps you predict how he’ll turn out. Interesting eh?

I heard otherwise. They said the first 3 years is the vital year to shape their manners and personality. There, you’ll have extra year to shape them.
Lun, now at 15Months has already beaming his personality. Outgoing and caring tod.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
Perfectly composed content, appreciate it for information. “The last time I saw him he was walking down Lover’s Lane holding his own hand.” by Fred Allen.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
