I’ve recently came across a math reading book, Tell Me How Much It Weighs-Whiz Kids by Shirley Willis.
I love this informally learning about maths. Containing fun fact of the weigh of earth and the most heavy creature in the world. It also inclusive a few activities to weigh on our own.
Here is one of the games that we did, following the book. Try it for yourself and share with me 
Material
Hanger –1px
Paper plate — 2px ( I’ve use 2 plastic bowls instead)
Parcel string — cut into 4 equal lenghts
Scotch/cello tape
Steps (Using my bowl)
- Hang 2 strings folded half on each side of the hanger.
- Tape the end of strings to 4 sides of bowls.
- Hang the whole thing up and play!
