Problem teaching words that sound the same?

The other day, we were learning Bob the builder -Can we fix it song. We encounter a tiny problem.

My son just could not understand the different between it and eat.  When I explain, he will look at me blindly, right after i finish my explaination, he will tell me eat is eat rice, Over and over again.

So in the end,  he just wouldn’t want to sing can we fix it. Instead, Bob the builder , yes we can!…

Agreed with you. My 3 yr old niece was confused when i told her “It’s SUNSET, It’s time to go home.” While she holding my hand walking home from the playground, she siad to herself : ” The Sun cry cry…”. :p
